Missouri Man Sues Apple for $1 Trillion Over iPhone Features
Raevon Terrell Parker from Missouri is attempting to sue Apple. He claims that the Cupertino company illegally seized his supposedly unique iPhone 7 and stole several features he developed. Parker requires $1 trillion from Apple in compensation. It’s only a third less than the company's total market capitalization, which is about $1.5 trillion.
On June 1, Raevon Terrell Parker filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri against Apple. A copy of the lawsuit has appeared on the network.
Parker claims that an Apple Store employee fooled him and stole his "unique" iPhone 7. The man handed the device over for repair in 2018, and after that, he received a new Apple device.
The plaintiff argues that his device is unusual because he was the first to invent and implement the function of faster unlocking the smartphone. The first lawsuit filed by Parker on March 28, 2019, says that his iPhone had a Group FaceTime option that Apple eventually implemented in iOS 12. At that time, the man wanted $2 trillion from Apple.
The latest lawsuit turned out to be a little more modest. Now, Raevon Terrell Parker requires only $1 trillion for the inconvenience that he had to endure in connection with this situation: hospitalization, travel, misfortune, humiliation, embarrassment, and publications with slander in his direction. The lawsuit also stated that the plaintiff allegedly owns patents for "iOS 12.0.1 and later" and "iOS 13 and later."
