HBO Will Film a Limited Series About Elon Musk's SpaceX
HBO has begun work on a limited series about Elon Musk's SpaceX, space transportation services company. HBO has reportedly ordered the production of six episodes of the SpaceX miniseries. The show will be based on the biography book of the entrepreneur Elon Musk, written by Ashlee Vance, which is called Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future.
The show will document the formation of the current leader of the world market of space launches, SpaceX, and how at one time, Elon Musk teamed up with engineers to work on a remote Pacific Island where they built and launched the first SpaceX rocket into orbit, Falcon 1.
By the way, September 28 marks 12 years since the first successful launch of Falcon 1. There have been five launches of this rocket, and the first three launches ended with accidents. As a result, the Falcon 1 was replaced by the Falcon 9, the most reliable and the most used American missile. According to the plan, the next generation Super Heavy rocket will replace the Falcon 9 rocket family in the future.
The show will be written by Doug Jung (Mindhunter, Banshee, Star Trek Beyond) and produced by Channing Tatum via his production company Free Association, along with Reid Carolin and Peter Kiernan of Free Association. No release date or cast has been announced yet. Elon Musk himself will not participate in the project.
