What Is Today? World Vegan Day

Today is World Vegan Day, which has been celebrated annually since 1994 on November 1, the anniversary of the first Vegan Society.

Events dedicated to vegans and veganism are held on this day. The word "vegan" was formed by Donald Watson from the first three and last two letters of the English word "vegetarian". Vegans are extremely thorough vegetarians who have not only removed meat and fish from their diet, but also any other animal products like eggs, milk, honey, and others. They don’t wear clothing made of leather, fur, wool, silk, and don’t even use products that have been tested on animals.
