PayPal Has Stopped Paying Pornhub Models
PayPal’s decision to stop payouts to models will affect thousands of people who use Pornhub as a source of income.
Most Pornhub visitors may think that the site provides access to endless free porn. However, Pornhub also allows you to upload, sell, and convert into cash videos that users create themselves in other ways as well. Now, the authors of commercials that used PayPal to receive money will be forced to switch to other payment methods such as checks, direct deposits, Paxum e-Wallet, and Verge cryptocurrency. All of them are not as convenient and familiar as PayPal, of course.
Here’s what is stated on Pornhub’s website:
We are all devastated by PayPal's decision to stop payouts to over a hundred thousand performers who rely on them for their livelihoods.
PayPal, for its part, explains that it detected "certain business payments" made by Pornhub through PayPal without permission. As a result, it was decided to take measures to preclude such transactions in the future. Then there was a clarification that it was referred to payments to the authors.
Also, PayPal rules prohibit the use of the service for activities related to "sexually explicit materials or services."
