Huawei Mate 40 Series Pre-Orders Sold Out in 28 Seconds
Yesterday, Huawei unveiled its highly anticipated next-generation flagship smartphones: the Huawei Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro, and Mate 40 Pro+.
After the announcement, the devices became available for pre-order on the popular JD.com platform. JD.com officially announced that the Huawei Mate 40 series sold out on the platform in just 28 seconds.
Only on the JD.com platform, more than four million people watched the live-streamed presentation of the Huawei Mate 40.
JD.com said that it will continue to accept pre-orders until the official start of smartphone sales in China, which is scheduled for October 30. However, on October 30, only those who managed to order Huawei next-generation smartphones within the first seconds will be able to receive their devices.
The presentation focused more on the Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro+ than the base Mate 40 model. At the end of the announcement, the Mate 40 RS Porsche Design was presented.
At the moment, only models Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro+ are available for pre-order. Huawei Mate 40 in a version with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of flash memory is priced at 900 euros, and Mate 40 Pro 256GB has a price tag of €1,200. For the Mate 40 Pro+ with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of flash memory, Huawei asks for €1,400. And the most expensive is the Mate 40 RS Porsche Design for €2,295.
Along with the smartphones, Huawei introduced Eyes On Display (EOD) technology, a complete version of Always-On Display.
According to the official information, the Huawei Mate 40 line's performance will decrease by only 2,5% within 36 months after the start of use.
