So far, Sony has unveiled the hardware specifications of PS5 as well as a new DualSense wireless controller. However, the design or the price of the console are still unknown.

Sony Revealed Sony PlayStation 5 Hardware Specifications
Sony has finally provided detailed information on the PlayStation 5 system architecture in the presentation that was held by Mark Cerny on Wednesday.

The new console itself is scheduled to be presented on Holiday 2020 season, so it is unlikely that the event on June 4 will reveal any details regarding the design or cost of PS5.

Update: As of June 3, Sony removed the phare "Launches holiday 2020" from the official website of the company. In addition, the same mention of the approximate start of sales was removed from all language versions of the site.

Sony Reveals New DualSense Controller for PlayStation 5
Released in 2013, the DualShock 4 wireless controller for the PS4 received many positive reviews from gamers. Sony took it as the basis for the development of DualSense, adding even more functionality.

Also, in a video published on PlayStation’s YouTube channel, Sony announced the date of the next PS5 event that is scheduled for Thursday, June 4, and will start at 4 PM ET/1 PM PT. The event will last about an hour and will primarily focus on the games that users will be playing upon PS 5 launch.

Further events where the company will uncover more details may happen in the following weeks or months.

Update: Sony has postponed the upcoming PS5 event that was scheduled to take place on June 4. This event was intended for showing off the gameplay of the next-generation PS console. Sony didn’t mention the exact date of the rescheduled event.

The company’s decision follows anti-racism protests happening across the USA. They were a response to George Floyd’s death at the hand of a Minneapolis police officer last week. Ongoing protests have taken place across several US cities.

Sony is not the only major company to delay events. EA also delayed the Madden NFL 21 event, and Google postponed the Android 11 beta announcement.
