Apple Announces iPhone 16 Event for September 9
Apple has officially set the date for its next major event, set to take place on September 9, 2024, at 1 PM ET / 10 AM PT, where the company is expected to unveil the iPhone 16 lineup. The event, under the tagline "It's Glowtime," will be held at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park, Cupertino. Along with the new iPhones, rumors suggest that Apple may introduce the Apple Watch Series 10 and new AirPods.
This year’s iPhone models will introduce several notable changes. The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus are rumored to feature a vertically aligned camera system on the back, marking a shift from the previous horizontal layout. Meanwhile, the flagship iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max may see increased screen sizes and a new bronze color option.
All four models in the iPhone 16 series are expected to include the Action Button, a feature that was previously exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro line. Additionally, there is speculation about the introduction of a new button dedicated to capturing photos and videos, although it remains unclear whether this will be available on all models or just the Pro versions.
Artificial Intelligence is also anticipated to play a significant role in the event, with Apple expected to highlight its Apple Intelligence features. However, it’s unlikely that a full-scale launch of these AI technologies will be announced just yet.
Beyond the iPhone, Apple is also expected to reveal the Apple Watch Series 10, which may come with a larger screen and enhanced processing power. Additionally, two new versions of AirPods are rumored to be part of the lineup.
Apple enthusiasts and tech followers can watch the event live through Apple’s website, YouTube, and the Apple TV app.
