Rumors: One of the Upcoming iPhone 12 Models Will Be Titled iPhone 12 Mini
Apple's recent September presentation is known to have gone without new iPhones. And while we are waiting for the next event's date announcement, exciting information appeared regarding the Cupertino giant's naming changes: the 5.4-inch iPhone model of 2020 will be called the iPhone 12 mini.
A well-known insider, @L0vetodream, announced this information. He also confirmed the names of the other three iPhone models in the iPhone 12 lineup.
All new iPhones in the 2020 lineup will get refreshed flat-edge designs like the latest iPad Pro and iPad Air models, OLED displays, 5nm SoC A14, 5G support, and RAM. At the same time, recent reports indicated that none of the iPhone 12 models would receive a ProMotion screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and all of them will remain with 60 Hz screens.
The new iPhones are also expected to have no headphones or power adapter in the box. Apple previously removed the adapter from the new Apple Watch, making an exception only for the more expensive Apple Watch Stainless Steel Edition and Apple Watch Hermès.
The iPhone 12 presentation is expected to take place in October. Insiders have previously reported on multiple occasions that the 6.1-inch models will launch first in the second half of October, and mini and maxi models will be presented in November.
