WhatsApp Will Release a Major Update in 2021
The developers of WhatsApp, an American freeware, cross-platform messaging service owned by Facebook, continue to develop new tools and functionalities.
According to the available data, WhatsApp developers started testing new messenger features. WhatsApp will soon receive many improvements, which will affect various functions of the messenger, including voice and video calls, backup chat history, contact management, etc. Also, new stickers and fixed bugs are expected.
Earlier, we wrote that the popular messenger's desktop and web versions will soon provide the supports of voice and video calls.
Besides improved voice and video calls, WhatsApp will have the same function as Telegram – it will be possible for the user to join an already ongoing group call. Thus, the user will be able to connect to the started calls if he/she could not answer the call at the beginning of the conversation. Also, it is planned to rework the creation of backup copies of the call history, and simplified user contact management will appear.
And the cherry on top is that the application is currently developing vacation mode to allow users to archive conversations and groups for some time to mute chat notifications.
So, we're waiting for February 8 to see how WhatsApp will update its app.
