Chromecast is a line of digital media players designed as small dongles that are developed by Google. The device connects to the TV’s HDMI port and adds smart functions to it, like streaming Netflix or other services and content. Chromecast also connects to one’s home network and can then be controlled with one’s mobile device or PC through apps that support Google Cast.
The Chromecast with Google TV costs $49 and is available for sale in the United States starting today. It will hit the global market on October 15.
