Google has unveiled the Fitbit Ace LTE, a new smartwatch designed for children aged 7 and up. This innovative device combines fitness tracking with interactive games to encourage kids to stay active while providing parents with peace of mind through reliable calling, messaging, and location sharing.

The Fitbit Ace LTE aims to make exercise fun by integrating 3D games that reward movement. The more children move, the more game time they unlock. Activities such as playing hide and seek, dancing, or jumping on the bed are tracked and rewarded, showing up in the "Noodle" activity ring on the home screen.

In addition to gaming, the Ace LTE features virtual creatures called "eejies" that thrive on physical activity. Kids can earn arcade tickets by reaching their movement goals, which can be used to customize their eejie's appearance and home.

The smartwatch is built with privacy in mind. Only parents can view their child's location and activity data, which is deleted after 24 hours and 35 days, respectively. There are no ads or third-party apps, and only parent-approved contacts can communicate with the device.

The Ace LTE is water-resistant up to 50 meters and has a battery life of over 16 hours. It supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC, and includes a microphone and speaker for two-way communication.

The Fitbit Ace LTE has been available for $230 from June 5. The device includes a free bumper for added protection and offers various collectible bands sold separately, each unlocking different features and styles.
