Tip: Take 18 minutes a day to make an exact daily schedule.

How does it work?

Peter Bregman, personal coach and author of the Harvard Business Review, developed one of the most accurate and successful ways to organize your daily activities. He claims that it only takes a person 18 minutes a day to manage his/her time, and his plan includes three simple steps.

  1. The first five minutes are morning planning time. Spread out your to-do list for the whole day. Pay attention to tasks that stay on the list for more than three days – they may no longer be relevant.
  2. The second stage is a minute every hour. This is your time for refocusing. Set up notifications so that you receive an alert once an hour and think about how productive you were in the previous hour and what can be changed for the better.
  3. The third step is five minutes at the end of the day. Ask yourself three questions at the end of the day: "How was my day?", "What did I learn today?", "Who did I work with?" Constant control of the schedule will help you understand exactly where your time is going. This will help you focus on the important stuff.
