OnePlus 8T will be presented on October 14, but OnePlus founder and CEO Pete Lau not only revealed new details about the latest product but also showed the upcoming novelty in all its glory in the new Aquamarine Green color.

For the OnePlus 8 Pro, the company has created a fifth-generation matte glass back cover that provides an unusual texture. In the OnePlus 8T, the company decided to rely on the glossy glass.

According to Pete Lau, the engineering team was challenged to find a way to emphasize the transparent and glossy texture of the glass and maintain its thinness and high strength. For over four months, the team experimented with different combinations of materials and colors.

"After exploring countless iterations with different CMFs (color, material and finish) for more than 4 months, we achieved a breakthrough and produced a remarkable glossy back cover for the new Aquamarine Green variant of the OnePlus 8T. This version takes advantage of diffuse reflection, a form of light refraction that scatters light in an expansive array of angles and directions, to produce a clean, gleaming surface that effectively mitigates the buildup of fingerprints," OnePlus CEO announced in his statement.

According to preliminary data, OnePlus 8T will receive a top-end Snapdragon 865 platform, a 6.55-inch AMOLED flat screen with a frame rate of 120 Hz (OnePlus 8 has 90 Hz), 8-12 GB of RAM and 128-256 GB of flash memory, a quad camera with a resolution of 48, 16, 5 and 2 megapixels, a 32-megapixel front camera embedded in the screen and a 4500 mAh battery with support for ultra-fast charging with a capacity of up to 65 W (from 0 to 58% in 15 minutes and up to 100% in 35 minutes).

Data about the price tag also appeared: €799 and €899 for the 8/128 GB and 12/256 GB versions, respectively.
