London-based tech startup Nothing has launched its first pair of open-ear earbuds, the Nothing Ear (open). These earbuds, priced at $149, are designed for users who want to remain aware of their surroundings while enjoying high-quality audio. Unlike traditional in-ear buds, the Ear (open) rest on the outer ear, allowing ambient sounds to pass through.
The earbuds feature a transparent design and a Sound Seal System that minimizes sound leakage, ensuring privacy while delivering a balanced audio experience. Each earbud includes 14.2mm drivers with titanium coating, Clear Voice 3.0 technology for enhanced call clarity, and Bluetooth 5.3, allowing users to connect to two devices simultaneously.
With 8 hours of battery life per charge and up to 30 hours with the charging case, the Ear (open) supports extended listening. The earbuds can be pre-ordered now and will be available globally starting October 1.
