Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky announced in his Twitter that Airbnb stops offering houses for private parties. A terrible accident happened in California in one of the rented apartments. A Halloween party in Orinda city was deadly unforgettable with shooting and five victims.
Moreover, Chesky stated that Airbnb would increase control and combat prohibited parties or violent behavior of hosts and guests, which can lead to such horrible events as in Orinda. Also, a particular response unit will check information about parties in rented houses. Clients who break the ban won’t be able to use the service.
The news reported that shooting in Orinda took place on October 31, that was the Halloween party with more than a hundred guests. The suspected disappeared, but his search continues. The Airbnb service which provided the rented accommodation closely cooperates with the investigation.
