What Lies in the Multiverse is a story-driven adventure puzzle platformer. Despite its many hilarious jokes and a light-hearted theme, the story touches on deep and complex topics and delves into human nature's darker side.
In the game, the unnamed protagonist meets Everett, a genius but hopelessly amoral scientist. Together they will embark on a journey across various worlds, each having a unique parallel reality to explore.
Untold Tales has also published ten minutes of What Lies in the Multiverse's gameplay, which shows the main features of the game – the rapid switching between parallel worlds, solving logical riddles, and unlocking the secrets of the multiverse that features all possible worlds, a combination of all the things that have ever happened, are happening, or will happen in the future.
