Leading the pack with an impressive eight nominations each are Alan Wake 2 and Baldur's Gate 3. These titles are vying for the coveted Game of the Year award alongside other esteemed franchises like Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Resident Evil 4, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
What sets The Game Awards apart is its recognition of various aspects of game development. Categories include Best Game Direction, Best Narrative, Best Art Direction, Best Score and Music, Best Audio Design, and Best Performance.
