WhatsApp has finally introduced Telegram-like instant video messages. Following the success of voice messages, this new feature allows users to send short personal videos directly within their chats. The video messages, limited to 60 seconds in duration, provide a real-time and expressive way to respond to messages, making it perfect for sharing special moments.
To send a video message to their contacts, users need to tap the microphone icon within the chat to switch to video mode and hold to record their message. Swiping up locks the recording, allowing for hands-free use.
Once opened in a chat, the videos play automatically on mute, and tapping on the video starts the sound. As with all messages on WhatsApp, video messages are protected with end-to-end encryption, ensuring privacy and security.
The feature is already being rolled out to WhatsApp users, and it will become available to everyone in the coming weeks.
