WhatsApp has unveiled its dedicated application for macOS, introducing a host of new functionalities to Mac users. This development allows individuals using the macOS operating system to seamlessly engage in group video calls (supporting up to 8 participants) and audio calls (with a capacity of 32 users).

Among the added features are the convenience of effortlessly sharing files through direct drag-and-drop into chat windows, along with access to supplementary chat history details. The app's interface has been thoughtfully redesigned to align with the familiar Mac environment, enhancing user experience.

Presently available for download on the company's official website, the application is set to become accessible on the App Store in the near future.

WhatsApp Introduces HD Video Sending Feature
Following its recent update allowing higher-resolution photo sharing, WhatsApp has now extended the same option to video sharing. The app now provides users with the ability to choose between Standard Quality and HD Quality before sending a video.

It's important to note that this version of WhatsApp for macOS requires macOS 11 or a later version. Users on different operating systems will still be able to utilize the browser version of WhatsApp Web.
