WhatsApp has rolled out a new feature called "Favorites," designed to help users quickly find and connect with their most important contacts and groups. This new filter will be available at the top of both the chats and calls tabs, allowing for easy and fast access.

The "Favorites" feature is intended to streamline communication by displaying significant contacts and groups in a single, easily accessible list. Whether it's for family group chats or best friends, users can now speed-dial their favorites directly from the calls tab without having to scroll through recent call logs or search their contact book.

WhatsApp Unveils New Chat Filters to Streamline Message Searches
The popular messaging app now includes chat filters that allow users to quickly access messages based on their specific needs. This update, currently being rolled out, includes three initial filter options: All, Unread, and Groups.

To add a contact or group to your favorites, you can select the "Favorites" filter from the chats screen and choose the desired contacts or groups. Alternatively, on the calls tab, you can tap "Add favorite" and select the contacts or groups you wish to prioritize. Users can also manage their favorites by going to Settings > Favorites > Add to Favorites, where they can reorder the list as needed.

The feature will be available to all WhatsApp users in the coming weeks.
