Sony finally announced the exact prices and launch date for the next-gen PS5 consoles. Sony has priced the base PlayStation 5 and the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition at $499 and $399, respectively. The sales of the consoles will start on November 12.

At the upcoming event, Sony plans to focus more on launch titles. However, it may well finally announce the release date of the PS5, following its rival Microsoft, which revealed the price and release date of its next-gen consoles last week.

The next-generation version of the popular RPG series will be released as a standalone purchase. However, those who already have the game on PC, PlayStation 4, or Xbox One will get the upgraded version for free.

Sony began sending out invitations that give the right to join the digital queue and pre-order the PS5 in the PlayStation online store in the future. But the invitation is also not a guarantee of receiving the console.

In its marketing campaign dedicated to the PlayStation 5 console, Sony primarily focuses on the immersion via the DualSense controller and its haptic feedback.

Now it is easier for PS5 lovers to choose an appropriate TV, which will be compatible with the new-generation game console. Sony has announced that two BRAVIA TVs received "Ready for PlayStation 5" certification.

Sony has made a $250 million investment in Epic Games, and now Sony gets a 1.4 percent interest and gives Epic a $17.86 billion valuation.
