Startup Testing: German Aerotaxi Can Fly up to 100 Kilometers per Hour

In Germany, the startup company Lilium finished the first part of flight tests and introduced its all-electric air taxi Lilium Jet. The vehicle was accelerated to more than 100 kilometers per hour.

It took several years for the company to invent its unique vertical take-off aircraft and they showed the flying prototype this spring. Later on, the developers published a new video showing VTOL hovering over the ground.

Lilium notes that currently, they are building the factory for the production of Lilium Jet models and soon it will manufacture more vehicles. In general, the startup has big plans to produce hundreds of flying taxis a year, as soon as the commercial services start functioning, so the serial production is expected in 2025.

The first phase of flying testing is captivating indeed.
