TCL has finally officially announced the details of its new smartphones, which were shown in January. Users are offered models in the 10-series line: TCL 10L, 10 Pro, and 10 5G. At the same time, a modification with support for 5G communication is not the key feature in this line.
TCL 10 Pro
The TCL 10 Pro smartphone is the only one among the novelties to receive an AMOLED display. It uses a 6.47-inch panel with Full HD+ resolution and HDR10 support. The built-in NXTVISION chip (available in all announced models) enables the transformation of the output SDR-to-HDR content in real-time.
The display has a front 24-megapixel camera. The fingerprint scanner is located below the screen. The device has a Snapdragon 675 processor, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal flash memory UFS 2.1. There is a slot for microSD memory cards with a capacity of up to 256GB. The battery capacity is 4500 mAh, and the smartphone supports quick charging Quick Charge 3.0. The device contains a 3.5 mm audio jack and supports Super Bluetooth, which allows you to connect to four wireless speakers at the same time. It is available in all three new products.
On the rear panel, there is a camera based on four modules. The main camera is capable of recording videos in 4K resolution.
The TCL 10 Pro will go on sale in the second quarter of this year for $450.
The device will come out with the Android 10 operating system, and later the manufacturer promises to release an update to Android 11.
TCL 10 5G
The TCL 10 5G is equipped with a 6.53-inch LCD with Full HD+ resolution, HDR10 support. In this case, the Snapdragon 765G processor is used.
Other features, except for the camera, are similar to those of the TCL 10 Pro: 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal memory, a battery with a capacity of 4500 mAh, support for fast charging. But the fingerprint scanner has moved to the back panel.
The main module in the camera also features 64 megapixels, but the resolution of the sensor in the ultra-wide-angle module is reduced to 8MP.
The TCL 10 5G smartphone will go on sale for $400.
TLC 10L
The TCL 10L received the same 6.53-inch LCD as the TCL 10 5G. However, some other features have been simplified. This new product is equipped with a Snapdragon 665 processor, 6GB of RAM, and built-in flash memory with a capacity of 64GB (eMMC) or 128GB (UFS).
The battery capacity is reduced to 4000 mAh, while the device is deprived of support for fast charging technology.
The camera has also undergone some simplifications. It retained four modules, but the resolution of some of them was reduced. For example, the main module uses a 48-megapixel 1/2.25-inch Samsung GM1 sensor and the macro module with a 2-megapixel sensor.
The TCL 10L smartphone will be available in the second quarter of 2020 for $250.
