Valve announced that the Steam Game Festival would return in October, with two more festivals planned for the first half of 2021, so developers will have the opportunity to prepare ahead for the upcoming event.

After reviewing feedback from gamers and developers, Valve decided to make the Steam Game Festival a regular event. After the fall festival, the next festivals will take place in February and June 2021.

The 2020 Steam Game Festival: Autumn Edition will be held from 10 am PST on October 7 to 10 am PST on October 13, and the window for developers to opt-in with their demo is now open until August 26 at 10 am PST.

The Steam Game Festival is a multi-day event that allows players to try out demos, chat with developers, watch live streams and learn about new games coming to Steam soon. For developers, this is an opportunity to get early feedback and build an audience of players as they prepare games for Steam's release.
