This week it became known that the sequel to provocative socio-political satire Borat by Sacha Baron Cohen will be released on Amazon Prime Video before the US presidential election between President Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden.

Yesterday Amazon published the trailer for Borat 2 – or its official title: Borat Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe To American Regime For Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan – and at the same time, confirmed the release date on October 23. The official movie poster has the tagline: "Wear mask. Save live."

Based on several shots shown in the trailer, the filming style and presentation of the new part of Borat repeat the original tape released in 2006. But now, the character of Sacha Baron Cohen is a celebrity, and ordinary passers-by on the streets of the United States recognize him. Cohen's character does not like the extra attention. That's why he changes his look and intends to marry his daughter (Irina Nowak) to someone "close to the throne."

As expected, the creators also did not ignore the coronavirus theme. In one of the scenes from the trailer, Sasha Baron Cohen, being in Borat's image, fights the coronavirus with a frying pan.

The filmmakers also published a tweet with a short satirical video voiced by Cohen in support of Donald Trump, where the current US president is called a "protector of women," "a hero of the war," and that "black guys love him so much."
