Google teamed up with Disney and Lucasfilm to release a free mobile app called The Mandalorian AR Experience, bringing the main characters of the series of the same name to real life using augmented reality. Baby Yoda is also involved.
iPhone owners will not be able to use the app. The Mandalorian AR Experience app is available only for Android users. The developers also limited the list of compatible smartphones to only 5G models.

The Mandalorian AR Experience is built on the Google ARCore augmented reality platform and uses the ARCore Depth API, allowing to draw three-dimensional pictures even if real objects partially cover the AR image.
Now, the Mandalorian AR Experience app features only characters and animations from the first season of The Mandalorian. However, the developers promise to add new content weekly, gradually approaching the current second season's events.
