Earlier this month, Netflix released an animated series called Headspace Guide to Meditation from the creators of the most popular meditation app Headspace. Each episode will contain some theoretical information (how it all works and why you can really feel good from spending five minutes in the lotus position) and a practical part.
The episodes were voiced by the creator of Headspace, Andy Puddicombe, a former Buddhist monk whose main motto is: "Be kind to your mind." There will be eight episodes of twenty minutes each season. Each of them will tell you about the pleasant benefits of meditation, as well as guide you through it.
In fact, watching the trailer of the series makes you feel calmer already. Puddicombe has a very calming and soothing voice, and the animation makes you want to lie down on the yoga mat and sleep. By the way, Netflix and Headspace are planning two more similar shows: Headspace Guide to Sleep and an interactive experience. It is not yet clear what it will be, but the creators promised to reveal details in the near future.
