At its highly anticipated annual event, Apple introduced the iPhone 16 lineup, Apple Watch Series 10, and AirPods 4, packed with updated designs, new features, and enhanced AI capabilities.
iPhone 16 and 16 Plus
The iPhone 16 features a 6.1-inch display, while the 16 Plus offers a larger 6.7-inch screen. Both models have an increased brightness of up to 2000 nits and come with a 48MP main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide lens. The new A18 chip, built on a 3nm process, delivers 30% faster performance compared to the previous iPhone 15.
The Action Button from the iPhone 15 Pro makes its way into the base models, allowing for customizable functionality. Battery life has also been improved, offering two extra hours of video playback.
With prices starting at $799 for iPhone 16 and $899 for iPhone 16 Plus, preorders begin on September 13, with availability on September 20.
iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max
The iPhone 16 Pro (6.3-inch) and Pro Max (6.9-inch) offer a more advanced experience with the powerful A18 Pro chip. Apple claims it's the most powerful chip in a smartphone, with 15% faster performance and 20% improved energy efficiency. The Pro models come with a 48MP ultra-wide camera with 5x zoom and advanced video capabilities, including 4K recording at 120 FPS.
In terms of battery life, these models offer four additional hours of video playback compared to their predecessors. Available in new colors such as "Desert Titanium," the iPhone 16 Pro starts at $999, while the Pro Max starts at $1,199.
Apple Watch Series 10
The Apple Watch Series 10 boasts a larger display and the thinnest design to date, featuring the new S10 chip for improved AI-based widgets and functionality. With sleep-tracking features, water resistance up to 50 meters, and fast charging, the watch is available in several color options, starting at $399.
The Apple Watch Ultra 2, priced at $799, offers enhanced GPS and workout tracking, making it ideal for outdoor activities like running, cycling, and swimming.
AirPods 4
Apple also introduced the AirPods 4, featuring the updated H2 chip for better sound quality and active noise cancellation. The earbuds come in two versions: $129 for the base model and $179 with noise cancellation. The AirPods Max 2 were also announced, now with USB-C, priced at $549.
All devices will be available for preorder starting September 13, with general sales beginning September 20.
