The author of the recipe for this dish, which has won our hearts a long time ago, is Johann Georg Lahner, a butcher by profession, owner of a butcher's shop in the Austrian capital Vienna. It was on November 13, 1805, that Georg Lahner first mixed ground beef and pork to make sausages, which came to be called Vienna or Frankfurt sausages, since Lahner learned his profession in Frankfurt.
