Clubhouse Launches Creator First Accelerator Program to Help Users Monetize
Clubhouse CEO Paul Davison has announced the launch of Clubhouse Creator First, the first accelerator program for creators. It will help aspiring creators build their audiences, partner with brands, and monetize their shows. However, getting paid for broadcasts will be tricky at first.
Clubhouse Creator First, a cross between an educational program and a beta test of a monetization system, is designed to provide creators with the information and resources they need to drive quality discussions, grow audiences, and monetize.
Only 20 authors will be able to participate in the accelerator at first. Details have not yet been specified, but users can fill out the application using this link until March 31.
In the form, you need to tell the details about your show, add information like the city of residence and indicate the approximate reach (Clubhouse creators note that they are interested in any accounts, not just large ones with a lot of subscribers). Finally, you need to attach a small fragment of your room's recording (no more than 3 minutes) and tell you about the tools that you would most like to see in the Clubhouse.
It is not yet clear if more creators will be chosen for the program in the future, but it is clear that the platform is considering the possibility of direct monetization of creativity. If the tests pass successfully, all authors with a certain reach will likely be able to earn money from streaming and add partner integrations.
Clubhouse Creator First will launch in honor of the company's first anniversary, which will be celebrated on March 17.
The launch of the accelerator program is not the only good news for Clubhouse fans. In addition to the launch of the new program, Clubhouse also announced several product updates. First, users received highly-requested language filtering, and they can now share links to their profile and clubs with others. Secondly, users can close the application's access to the contacts and are now allowed to invite new people to the platform directly via their phone numbers. And thirdly, users will be able to delete previously downloaded contacts. For now, you need to contact the administration of the app for that, but soon a special tool will be created to allow you to do this without outside help.
Earlier it became known that Telegram is preparing an analog of Clubhouse. Telegram channels will now support voice chats for an unlimited number of participants.
In addition, Facebook is presumably working on a Clubhouse rival, whereas Twitter has already begun testing its Clubhouse analog called Spaces.
