On March 24, Xiaomi will present its next potential hit – the Redmi K30 Pro. However, the Vice President at Xiaomi Lu Weibing announced that not only smartphones would be presented at this press conference.

In June, Xiaomi will release another smartphone for 5G networks: it may be the Redmi Note 9 5G device. The price of $230 is forecasted.

Finally, a presentation of the entry-level 5G smartphone is planned for November. It will be offered at an estimated price of 140-145 US dollars.

Earlier last fall, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun said that a $140 5G smartphone would become a reality by 2021.

It should be noted that this year, the rate of development of the 5G smartphone market will be below forecasts due to the spread of coronavirus. Amid the pandemic, consumers around the world began to buy new smartphones much less frequently.
