Astronomers Detected a Monstrous Black Hole in Our Galaxy
Chinese space-explorers discovered an enormous black hole which shouldn’t have existed in the cosmic space as follows from modern scientific teaching. It is located at a distance of about 15 thousand light-years away from Earth in the Gemini constellation.
This discovery differs fundamentally from the modern models of stellar evolution. Previous hypothesis suggested that none of the black holes of stellar masses can have a bulk more than 20 times greater than the mass of the Sun. Scientists esteem the majority of dying stars lose a considerable portion of their gas to make such black holes impossible as they must break down. However, now, this phenomenon contravenes all existing theories.
The newly found black hole was called LB-1. Astronomers discovered it by using LAMOST spectroscopy with the Doppler spectroscopy tool. The stellar mass of an object exceeds the Sun in 70 times. Chinese scientists also suggest that the huge size of LB-1 may be a consequence of two black holes orbiting around each other.
