The iconic rapper showed everyone who is the rap Dadass here once again (supremacy in the world of rap). Marshall dropped the new album without warning and broke his own record in rapping: in a track called Godzilla, he pronounces 229 words in 30 seconds.
This way, the American rap old-timer broke his previous speed record that entered the Guinness Book of Records: in a 15-second segment of the Rap God single, Eminem spits 97 words. The book calls this speed “supersonic.”
As it is known now, Godzilla is on the new album, Music to Be Murdered By. In the title, as well as on the cover of the album, one can, with a naked eye, see a reference to Alfred Hitchcock. The album itself hides some sinister stuff. The Unaccommodating track came under serious fire. In it, Eminem compares himself to a suicide bomber at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester. The explosion claimed the lives of 22 people, and among wounded, there were many children.
Unlike Unaccommodating, the Darkness track calls for tightening control over weapons circulation in the USA. The track is about mass shootings at schools and at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival in Las Vegas in October 2017 when 59 people died. The track also contains a sample of the famous phrase “Hello darkness, my old friend” from the song called The Sound of Silence by Simon & Garfunkel.
This is not the first time “Slim Shady” draws public attention to the problem of arms trafficking. Last year on iHeartRadio, Eminem performed a freestyle verse that criticized and even insulted supporters of the National Rifle Association. Eminem said, “They love their guns more than our children.”
It seems like Eminem lives and eats for hype, and the main thing is that he doesn’t mind competitiveness. A rapper Mac Lethat published a video called Rapping 1000 Words in 2 Minutes!!! on YouTube. You can check it out and compare the speed of rapping by watching it below:
