As a war-time President, you have fathered an unstoppable medical reform movement by cutting the FDA’s red tape, lowering drug prices, and successfully developing a Covid-19 vaccine at warp speed. Furthermore, you signed Senator Ron Johnson’s Right to Try legislation into law, and significantly improved the country’s opioid epidemic.
Perhaps prophetically, you promoted the use of Hydroxychloroquine, Azithromycin, and Zinc in the early stages of the Covid-19 infection. A recent large international study of Covid-19 hospitalized patients with pre-existing lung disease showed a 50% reduction in mortality when treated with (hydroxy)chloroquine. These results are consistent with over 200 studies showing the drug’s safety and efficacy against Covid-19[1]. These studies are supported by our country’s top physicians from prominent institutions, such as Yale, Harvard, Baylor, etc[2]. Mr. President, you have saved millions of American lives.

As Commander and Chief of the most powerful nation in the world, you are the tip of the spear of the global war against big pharma’s corruption and abuse. The powerful big pharma industry spends billions of dollars on lobbying politicians, paying millions in royalties to the NIH, and billions in “user fees” to the FDA.
In my formal testimony to the U.S. Senate Homeland Security Committee, I suggested the formation of a new medical research institution which is outside of the purview of the HHS. The purpose of this institution is to generate real world evidence and therapeutics by frontline primary care physicians. This can be accomplished by unleashing this country’s medical and intellectual potential through the open source real world data sharing amongst frontline physicians. This approach will circumvent big pharma’s influence over the FDA, NIH, and CDC and provide an efficient mechanism for the development of safe, timely, and inexpensive therapeutics for this country’s most common health concerns.
The need for reform became obvious during the above mentioned Senate hearing. Dr. Jay Bhattacharya MD PhD of Stanford University testified that big pharma’s influence over government agencies has created a myriad of conflict of interests and the incentive for corruption.
Quoting Dr. Bhattacharya, “We need to fix this with a system that allows formal conversation to reason observational data, rapid funding for large scale... all the time, not just during the pandemic.” I humbly request that you allocate 5% of Operation Warp Speed’s budget to Operation Z. The American people’s gratitude as well as history will be your enduring legacy.
