On September 7, Apple held an event dubbed 'Far Out' to officially unveil its iPhone 14 lineup together with a bunch of other hardware novelties – new versions of Apple AirPods and Apple Watch.

Here's everything Apple unveiled during its annual September iPhone event:

iPhone 14 Lineup

Apple has unveiled the new iPhone 14 lineup that includes four new models: iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus

The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus with 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch displays, respectively, are available in five colors and visually retain the design of their predecessor – the iPhone 13.

The company claims that the iPhone 14 Plus features the best battery life of all other iPhones while being powered by the A15 Bionic chipset.

Both models support new Emergency SOS via Satellite service.

The standard model of the iPhone 14 starts at $799, and the 14 Plus starts at $899. While the standard model will be available from September 16, the Plus version will go on sale on October 7.

iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max

The first notable design change to the iPhone 14 Pro models can be seen on their displays. The iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max have swapped the 'notch' for a 'Dynamic Island' – a pill-shaped space for Face ID that will expand when you receive calls, alerts, or notifications.

Both the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max will have an always-on display that dims the wallpaper for a lock screen with information such as reminders, calendar events, and the weather.

The new iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max feature 6.1 and 6.7-inch displays, respectively, with brightness levels reaching an incredible 2000 nits at their peak, and screen refresh rates ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz.

The new models are equipped with a faster A16 Bionic 6-core chip that features improved energy efficiency. The Cupertinians assure that it is up to 40% faster than its competitors.

For the first time ever, the iPhone will have a 48-megapixel camera. It includes an f/1.78 aperture and a 24mm focal length.

The iPhone 14 Pro will cost $999, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max – $1,099. Both models will start shipping on September 16.
