The 512th Apple Store, located on the waterfront of Singapore, will soon open its doors. Due to its geographic location, Apple's retail store is named Apple Marina Bay Sands. It will be housed in a sphere floating on Marina Bay, taking over space previously occupied by the nightclub Avalon. The new Apple Store will be one of the most unusual Apple Stores and the first-ever floating Cupertino store.
Apple opened its first store in Singapore at the Knightsbridge building in 2017, and the second store was opened last year at Jewel Changi Airport.
Last week, Apple became the first American company to reach a $2 trillion market capitalization due to robust demand amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
And now, Apple is getting ready to open the third store in Singapore.
"We will soon open the doors to our new store by the Bay. Apple Marina Bay Sands will be at the heart of creativity, a place we've made for you to capture your ideas and passions. It will be a space for you to explore, connect and create something new. We can't wait to see where your imagination takes you," reads the official site of Apple.
Apple Marina Bay Sands store looks like a somewhat strange spaceship or perhaps a futuristic theater. However, at night you can see fantastic illumination, completely transforming the exterior of the new Singapore Apple Store.
Lighting is one of the store's main features, and Apple even dedicated a separate promotional video to it. As for the interior, it is still kept secret.
A separate Apple Marina Bay Sands page is already available on the Apple website, but the exact date of the opening is still unknown.
