US President Donald Trump posted on Twitter that his coronavirus test result is positive. He is 74, therefore, Mr. Trump is in a high-risk category for complications, even though he has no symptoms right now. Also, it was confirmed that his wife, Melania Trump, was tested positive for COVID-19 as well.

Dr. Vladimir Zelenko, who is known for having developed a drug regimen for treating coronavirus and who sent a letter describing his protocol to Donald Trump back in April, provided comments on President Trump’s illness in today’s phone call with the Internet Protocol team.

This morning, Dr. Zelenko texted Ronny Jackson, Trump’s private physician who used to be his White House physician, and advised him to use the Zelenko Protocol in this case.

Four hours later, it became known that former White House physician & retired Navy Rear Admiral is recommending for President Trump to start taking hydroxychloroquine, azithromycin, and zinc sulfate (the three drugs that comprise Doctor Zelenko’s COVID-19 treatment regimen) as it is safe and it is essentially what Dr. Zelenko’s protocol is.

Dr. Vladimir Zelenko also emphasizes that there’s no need for the world to panic. It’s the opposite, President Trump’s treatment should serve as the example for all of us that there’s effective treatment and there’s no need for the world to panic and that we could begin to reintegrate back into society if we start treatment as soon as possible according to Zelenko’s regimen.

The Use of Zinc, Hydroxychloroquine, and Azithromycin are Associated with Less Death in COVID-19 Patients, a New Study Finds
The study reports a very low fatality rate of 0.71% in treated patients with confirmed positive cases of COVID-19.

Before his announcement on Twitter, the US president had said that he was ready to begin a quarantine process after the test of one of his closest aides, Hope Hicks, who accompanied the White House head this week, appeared positive.

Hope Hicks, who served as Trump's aide at the Trump Organization and later served as White House communications director, accompanied the US president to the first debate with his opponent in Cleveland, Ohio. The next day after that, during a joint flight with the President, they went to Minnesota.

Along with them on board were senior adviser, concurrently, the President's son-in-law Jared Kushner, White House social media adviser Dan Scavino, and other administration officials.

As noted by the American media, during the debate with Joe Biden and after that, the US President's team did not wear protective masks.

Trump has repeatedly neglected wearing masks and did not maintain social distance, being constantly surrounded by aides.

Recall that the novel coronavirus infected more than 7,2 million Americans, killing more than 200,000 of them.

It is not yet known exactly how the US president will be quarantined. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention instructions, every person who tests positive for coronavirus is obliged not to leave the place of their last stay within 14 days.

Trump's current physician, Dr. Sean Conley, released a statement late on Thursday, saying the President and the first lady were "both well at this time, and they plan to remain at home within the White House during their convalescence."

"Rest assured, I expect the president to continue carrying out his duties without disruption while recovering, and I will keep you updated on any future developments," Dr. Sean Conley said.

Quotes of US stock futures indices fell immediately after the announcement of Trump's illness.
