Game of Thrones is not only constant bloody strife, sexual impudence, and indiscriminate cruelty. The series has many characters and develops several storylines at the same time. There are three basic storylines: the first is dedicated to the struggle of several influential houses for the Iron Throne. The second is about the descendants of the deposed dynasty of rulers, the princess-exile, planning to return the throne. And the third one is about an ancient brotherhood, protected by the state from threats from the north.
