At the end of last year, Roberto Escobar, the brother of the famous Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar, announced the indestructible folding smartphone with a flexible screen – the Escobar Fold 1.

At the beginning of 2020, it became known that the organizers of the exhibition did not allow Escobar Fold 1 to be shown at the CES 2020 because of Escobar’s history, as well as an extremely frank advertising campaign involving half-naked girls.

CEO of Escobar Inc. stated that the leading players on the smartphone market fear the emergence of such a device.

But Escobar Inc. decided to get things done and introduced the improved Escobar Fold 2, which is very similar to the Samsung Galaxy Fold. Qualcomm Snapdragon of the 8th series acts as a single-chip system (the exact model is not specified).

The model is presented with memory for 8/128 or 12/512 GB. It uses fast LPDDR4X RAM.

The Escobar Fold 2 smartphone is equipped with a flexible Dynamic AMOLED diagonal screen of 7.3 inches with a resolution of 1536x2152 pixels with support for extended dynamic range HDR10+. The external 6-inch Super AMOLED screen has a resolution of 720x1680 pixels. Escobar Fold 2 runs on the Android 10 operating system.

The main camera of the Escobar Fold 2 has image sensors with a resolution of 12 megapixels with variable aperture (F/1.5 - F/2.4), as well as additional sensors with a resolution of 12 and 16 megapixels. There is a 2x optical zoom. The front camera received image sensors with a resolution of 10 and 8 megapixels.

The battery capacity is 4380 mAh. There is support for fast charging with a power of 25 W, a slot for Nano-SIM, and support for eSIM. The fingerprint sensor is located on the side. The phone’s weight is 266 grams.

The price for the basic version of Escobar Fold 2 with 8/128 GB of memory is announced at around $399.
