Analysts at the British bank Barclays have announced their expectations for the release of the iPhone 12 line, based on information from several Apple suppliers. It is reported that this year, the standard pack of the new device will not be quite ordinary.

First of all, maybe there will be no pair of EarPods in a box as usual. This information from Barclays coincides with the statement of the well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who predicted Apple's refusal from a free accessory in May of this year.

According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the company can take such a step to promote sales of the second generation of AirPods.

Apple Is Already Preparing AirPods Studio for Release
Apple is already actively preparing for the release of new AirPods. They will receive an overhead design in the style of Beats Studio headphones and will even be called similarly – AirPods Studio.

Meanwhile, if standard EarPods can be purchased for additional $29, even the basic AirPods model will cost the buyer $159. The analyst suggested that the company have to arrange a special offer with discounts on AirPods to spur potential iPhone 12 owners to buy a new smartphone and AirPods for it.

However, Barclays analysts believe that Apple also can remove a power adapter of any kind, leaving only a USB-C to Lightning cable in the box.

This step is good for the environment as Apple sells hundreds of millions of iPhones annually. However, not including a power adapter will create many inconveniences for users who don't have an extra adapter and those who buy Apple gadgets for the first time. The basic 5W adapter in the company's official store costs $19, while the 18W adapter that comes with the iPhone 11 Pro models costs the buyers $29.

At the same time, earlier this week, an image of a 20W power adapter appeared on the network, which supposedly appears in the iPhone 12 kit, which contradicts Barclays forecasts.

Analysts also estimated that the new line's mass production is 4-6 weeks behind the standard schedule. The reason for this is the coronavirus pandemic, which disrupted part of the supply. Barclays is confident that new iPhones will still be presented in September, as in previous years, but some models can be ordered no earlier than October-November.

Besides, the bank's report talks about two flagship iPhone 12 Pros that will receive a triple camera, as well as a LiDAR scanner, which was previously introduced in the iPad Pro and will open up new possibilities for augmented reality technology.
