How to make it:

  1. In a deep bowl, mix one and a half cups of flour, dry yeast, salt, and sugar.
  2. Heat water, milk, and butter over medium heat, stirring the mixture occasionally.
  3. Slowly pour the resulting mixture into a bowl with flour and mix it.
  4. Add one egg and mix until smooth.
  5. Gradually stir in the remaining flour and mix it until dough becomes firm and easy to handle.
  6. Shape a dough ball and knead it on a flat surface (previously sprinkling it with flour so that the dough does not stick) for 5-15 minutes. Let the dough rest for 20 minutes (one hour is even better).
  7. Divide the dough into several parts. From the larger one, shape the rounded body of your frog. From the leftovers, form front and hind legs and eyes.
  8. Put the larger ball on a baking sheet, attach feet on the sides. Make a deepening for eyes on the top and put two small balls into them. Put raisins into the head for eyes. If desired, you can sprinkle the frog with herbs, put a sprig of rosemary on top, sprinkle it with cinnamon, or grease it with oil.
  9. Heat oven to 400°F and bake the bread for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. It is best to check the oven every 5 minutes.
