2020 has been a tough year for everyone. Humanity was fraught with a pandemic, we all experienced a share of societal and political uninterest, devastating personal losses of loved ones, opportunities, prospects, and jobs due to a raging COVID-19 disease. Plenty of media outlets declared 2020 the worst year in history.

And yet some people drew inspiration from all the difficulties we had last year and turned them into something special. And Max Garkavyy is one of those people.

Max Garkavyy is a developer who single-handedly created 2020 Game in over six months. It’s a free side scroller game about the mad year of 2020 that lets users play through all the major events of 2020, such as the Australia wildfires, COVID-19, the stock market crash, quarantine, the rise of TikTok, and the US elections.

The game can be finished in 10 minutes or less, with each new level taking the form of a major event or trend of 2021, from bushfires in Australia and toilet paper hunting at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic to the US presidential election. There’s even a small part about TikTok.

Microsoft Edge Users Can Now Play the Surf Game Inside the Browser
At first, the game has been available for insiders who could solve puzzles to find out its location. With the new build, all users can enjoy the surf-themed Edge Surf Game offline.

Retro-style pixel graphics and a great soundtrack add up to the overall impression of the game. You can check out 2020 Game here, and if you like it, you can support the developer financially and donate – there is a separate button for this on the website.
